Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files is Set To Launch On 13th May On ZEE5

‘The Kashmir Files‘ is a movie that tells a true story about the suffering, and trauma of Kashmiri pandits. It raises crucial concerns about democracy, religion, politics, and human nature. The movie got released in theatres on March 11, 2022. It has dominated the box office and amassed a substantial sum of money. After three months in theatres, the film is now set to be launched on a digital platform. It has been confirmed that ZEE5 has secured the film’s streaming rights, and The Kashmir Files will premiere on the ZEE5 streaming platform.

Movie Overview

Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files tells the stories of Kashmiri Hindus living in the disputed Kashmir region. It portrays the early 1990s exodus as a genocide, which is largely regarded as false and linked to conspiracy theories.  A Kashmiri Hindu college student is the protagonist of the narrative. He was moved as a kid during the exodus after his family was murdered, and he was fostered by a teacher who had witnessed the deaths but kept him in the dark about their situations.

Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, the film’s director and producer, wrote and produced the exodus drama. The movie features Darshan Kumaar, Pallavi Joshi, and Chinmay Mandlekar in prominent roles.
