Music fans who use Spotify are constantly given facts about their choices, from how many hours they listened to one artist to who they stream the most.
The company just launched Today’s Top Fan, a new statistical tool that allows users to track their fans.
What is it, and how does it work?
What are Today’s Top Fandoms?
Spotify’s new feature Today’s Top Fan allows users to find their most streamed artists and songs.
This information is available to music lovers, regardless of whether it’s seven hours of Ariana Grande streaming continuously or how many super fans you are based upon your listening habits for your top artists.
This is a slightly modified version of 2020’s Top 1% of Fans. Spotify stated that it “provides an definitive way to show you listen to these artist more than any other person.” This doesn’t measure how long you have been listening to an artist. This is a measurement of how many times an artist’s song has been streamed on Spotify.
What is the secret to it?
Users need to log on to todaystopfans.byspotify.com where they can access it on their computers and mobile phones.
After logging in, users will be able to view the stats of their most-played artist by simply swiping left.
Then they can scroll through all of their stats, including:
- The most-listened to artist
- They first heard them
- The top three songs by their most-listened to artists are
- How many times have they played their favorite song?
It also shows how many hours users have spent listening and which percentage of top fans that artist they are.
