Since the launch of the Samsung s22 series, it has sold over 11 million devices already.
This is a new line of smartphones that are built on android 9.0. They have a brand new user interface called One UI 2. It’s different from the previous version of Android, so some people might find it a bit confusing. But there’s also a lot to like with this one. The S22 series includes three phones in the lineup. There’s the Galaxy S22, S22 Plus, and S22 Ultra.
Here are all the features of each phone. And if you want to know what exactly makes this phone special then take a look at our full review.
Galaxy S22
The Samsung galaxy s22 is the latest smartphone in the company’s flagship series, and it comes with an impressive set of features.
It sports a 6.1-inch curved Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, making it one of the best displays out there. The phone also has a Qualcomm SM8450 Snapdragon 8 Gen 1(4nm) and a decent 3700 mAh, non-removable battery, which offers up to two days of battery life at medium usage.
The device comes with 128GB 8GB RAM and 256GB 8GB RAM of internal storage. The phone runs on Android 12, based on Google’s new OS. It supports wireless charging and comes with a fingerprint sensor as well.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 comes in three different colours – Bora Purple, Phantom White, Pink Gold, and green.
If you live in Australia, you may be able to pick up the S22 for even less. A good place to buy would be to check out Phonebot, where there’s currently a sale happening right now. The lowest price we could find is $929 AUD for the 128GB version.
Galaxy S22 Plus
The Galaxy S22 Plus has the same design as the S22 but it’s slightly bigger. Its screen is 6.6 inches instead of 6.1 inches. It also has a larger battery than the S22. It’s rated at 4,500 mAh compared to the S22’s 3700 mAh. This is great news for power users who don’t mind going with a larger handset.
This is another phone with a triple rear camera system. Like the S22, the S22 Plus uses a 12MP Ultra-wide camera, a 50MP wide-angle camera, and a 10MP telephoto lens.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Samsung use multiple lenses to shoot a photo. In fact, it’s become the norm now.
The galaxy S22 front camera is 10MP, but it also works as a selfie cam. Samsung’s software lets you choose between four modes depending on whether you want to focus on the center point of the frame, the edges, or both. There’s also a beauty timer option which helps keep your face looking fresh after the photo is taken. All these options work in conjunction with the AI engine.
The Samsung Galaxy S22+ comes in three different colours – Phantom Black, Phantom White, Pink Gold, and green.
The rest of the hardware is pretty much identical to the S22, but the S22 Plus costs around $200 AUD more than the S22. The price difference is mainly due to the larger capacity of the battery.
Galaxy S22 Ultra
The Galaxy S22 Ultra is the largest phone in the S22 series. It’s also the priciest, but it’s also one of the best phones in this range. This includes a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen, 8.9 mm thick, a triple rear camera array, and One UI 4.1.1
In terms of cameras, the S22 Ultra comes with triple rear cameras, including a 12MP ultra-wide camera, 108MP wide-angle camera, and 10MP telephoto camera. All three cameras are capable of taking great shots, with the ability to capture images at high frame rates.
On the front, the S22 Ultra has a single 40MP selfie camera. However, this is not your usual selfie shooter. The camera is able to record video up to 60fps, which means you can shoot slow-motion videos.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra comes in four colours – Burgundy, Green, Phantom White, and Phantom Black. Both the colour options have a glossy finish. If you want something more subtle, you can opt for the Samsung-exclusive version instead.
If you’re looking for a powerful smartphone with a big display, then the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is probably the best choice. It’s available in various countries around the world.
