Not everyone is eligible for membership as there is a fee to become a member. According to sources, the club has around 500 members in the United States, Great Britain, Asia and Africa. Among the members is financier Thomas Peterffy.
With them, lobbyist Kenneth Duberstein, Chief Oil Officer Bill Koch, Media Director Christopher Ruddy, Democratic Party Leader George Norcross, Bruce E. Toll and Richard LeFrak real estate developer, Howie Carr, Bill Belichick.
How much does Mar a Lago membership cost?
There is a special club in the huge 20-acre estate that required a fixed fee; previously costs were $ 200,000; however, as of 2012 it has been lowered to $ 100,000. According to citizens, the membership fee was reduced after the Bernie Madoff scandal.
