Plastic molds can melt or catch fire. It uses to shape objects into any form. Plastic molds can add with other materials to make the complex parts and products

Casting Bronze and Metal:

Casting bronze and metal is the traditional method used for many years in arts and mold manufacturing

METAL CASTING:

Metal casting is the old method used to melt the metal and pour it into a mold. Mold uses for metal casting to build as tube-like mold (hollow mold) in different sizes and shapes. The traditional metal casting techniques include die-casting, lost-wax casting, sand casting, plaster mold casting and so on.

Metal casting used for making applications for:

  • Transportation (aerospace, railways, shipping, and automobile)
  • Military equipment
  • Transportation
  • Jewellery
  • Tools
  • Artistic and sculptural objects
  • Electrical devices and components
  • Construction instruments

Metal casting process includes:

  • Choose the pattern of 3-dimensional objects to design the mold.
  • Build the mold using sand, ceramic shell, and plaster, optimizing by different casting metals.
  • Decide the metallic alloy, metallic alloy containing ferrous and non-ferrous alloy for making the desirable product.
  • Melt the metallic alloy at respective heating temperature.
  • Pour the molten alloy into the mold to shape into desired objects.
  • Allow the mold to cool and solidify.
  • Remove the casting from the mold.
  • Finishing the final solid metal cast by polishing.

BRONZE CASTING:

Bronze casting is the old method used to melt bronze into the hollow mold to create a bronze sculpture or objects. Bronze was the most popular material used to make artistic sculptures in ancient times. It’s a good metal to sculpt the object. It’s like a copper-based material used to melt and mold into the object.

Bronze casting takes place to make the desirable objects casting. It prepares from the small to the complex objects for casting:

  • Industrial objects
  • Musical instruments
  • Medals
  • Weapons etc

Bronze casting process includes:

LOST WAX CASTING:

  • Build a mold around the wax. After set up, melt the wax, it turns into a cavity.
  • Bronze flows into the cavity. It cools and solidifies.
  • Remove the sculpture from a mold.

SAND CASTING BRONZE:

  • Constructs a mold using resin-bonded sand.
  • Cast the bronze into the mold.
  • Pour the bronze into the hollow pattern.
  • Sculpt prepares using clay, wax, or plaster.
  • It welds into the piece.
  • Scrap the sculpture with smooth finishing.
  • Process of bronze casting ends.
