Whipped cream is one of the best ingredients that you can use for baking. I make sure that I always have some prepared for my pastry business. With the numerous orders online since this pandemic, I make sure that there is always enough whipped cream to use for the pastries that needed it. Take note that I do not use whipped cream that’s already sealed in chargers. I make sure that these are homemade whipped cream since they have more advantages that you can enjoy for business purposes.

So, to learn how I do it, here are the advantages of making your whipped cream, instead of going for either instant mixes and those in dispensers already:

It Is So Affordable

Buying the ingredients on your own is a great money saver for a lot of those who want to have more whipped cream at home or for their business. It is a well-known fact that creating your own whipped cream can save you around $5 or more, compared when buying those placed in chargers already. What’s also interesting about this is that you can even buy whipped cream chargers if you want to make the same quality as those bought in cream canisters.

What also made homemade whipped cream more affordable than buying pre-made ones in the grocery is because you only need 3 main ingredients: heavy cream, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar/confectioners’ sugar. These three ingredients are so affordable, you can just include them on your grocery cart when restocking your food at home.

Very Easy To Make

If there is anything hard to do when making the whipped cream, it’s when you use a whisk to whip the cream for a few minutes. To make things very easy to do, use a mixer instead. Making whipped cream at home is extremely easy to do. All you need is to whisk the whipped cream for 30 seconds, then add the confectioners’ sugar and vanilla extract as you continue mixing. Keep on mixing for 3 to 4 minutes more until the mixture gets foamy.

NOTE: Just make sure you do not overmix the cream, or else it will turn into butter. Butter may still have other uses in the kitchen, but for sure that’s not what you want to achieve. Also, do not stop mixing once you begin, or the cream might go back to liquid form real quick!

You Can Add Extra Flavors In It

What’s fun about making whipped cream at home is that you can create a variety of flavored whipped creams. There’s chocolate whipped cream, where you just need to sift the powdered sugar and cocoa powder together. You can also enjoy strawberry-flavored whipped cream by adding either ground strawberry or strawberry powder into the mixture. There are also other unique flavors like coffee, match, and even lemon. This is great for pastry businesses who love to customize the flavor of their products, and for customers who are fond of making special requests.

You Can Stabilize It

You can stabilize your blend of whipped cream through the use of additional, and very cheap ingredients. You can choose from powdered milk, unflavored gelatin, cornstarch, and even pudding mix! Some of the mentioned stabilizers can also add creaminess or sweetness to your whipped cream, making it tastier. Just take note of the proper steps when stabilizing whipped cream using unflavored gelatin. If you want my opinion, go for powdered milk for the best results!

You Can Place It In A Dispenser

There are whipped cream chargers available online or near your area that are very affordable and can achieve the same quality that manufactured whipped cream has. Just be sure to follow the instructions on how to build the charger, as well as how to apply the cream and N2O for it to properly work. The dispenser provides a lot of advantages such as preserving the cream, improving its quality, lessens fat content, and stabilizes its appearance once applied over food and drinks.

You Can Make A Business Out Of It

Rather than selling pastries as I do, you can make your own whipped cream brand as well. If you have a recipe that makes yours unique from your future competitors, then go ahead and start building that idea of yours into a business. All you need is to have funds for buying a lot of ingredients, as well as several whipped cream chargers (it is always BEST to sell whipped cream in canisters).

Making whipped cream at home is not a talent. It’s just as easy as making fried eggs and bacon in the morning. All you have to do is to prepare the 3 main ingredients I mentioned earlier, add some stabilizers if you want to make it look foamy for a long time, and start whipping them altogether!
